Operating out of Margate Yacht Club

Margate is a fabulous coastal location for sailing with 2 beautiful sandy beaches ensuring sailing can happen anytime, whatever the state of the tides.

High tides allow sailing in the bay area with the harbour arm offering protection from the elements for those getting started, or you can venture further out into deeper water and explore the Thanet coast as you sail along. Low tide is no problem as we can launch from outside the harbour and sail a little further round the coast.

Margate Yacht Club is a lovely family orientated sailing club with plenty of friendly faces who just love to see people out sailing. Don't be surprised if we are joined out on the water by a club member who spots us out there sailing!

Plenty of double handed and single handed dinghies to choose from with a brand new clubhouse to use for changing and a hot cuppa after your sailing exploits. Plenty of wet-suits and buoyancy aids to chose from too.
